Book chapters and ebooks
For off-campus use
If you have a doi.org URL or another stable, permanent URL to a book or book chapter that you would like to add to your course, add this prefix to the URL:
https://loyno.idm.oclc.org/login?url=
Test the URL from a different computer (or another day) to be sure that the link works and that it goes to what you want to use.
The following collections include eBooks:
- Cambridge Companions OnlineThis is a collection of scholarly ebooks in literature, classics, philosophy, religion, culture and music from 1991-present. You can link to an entire Cambridge Companion or an individual chapter using a doi.org URL. See instructions for proxying links for off-campus use (required for online courses).
- EBSCO eBook CollectionA collection of books that the library has purchased for various purposes, including etextbooks. Not all books have multiple user licenses. Although you cannot link to an individual chapter, you can link to a book and assign reading by page numbers. Use provided EBSCO permalinks to allow for off-campus use.
- JSTORIn addition to journal archives, JSTOR also offers digital rights-free ebooks. We have purchased some JSTOR titles and JSTOR offers 750+ open access titles. Use the provided instructions to proxy JSTOR stable URLs to books or chapters and allow for off-campus access
- Loeb Classical LibraryA library of classical Latin and Greek texts with adjacent English translations. Based on the book series, most of which are in our print collection. See instructions for proxying links for off-campus use.
- Drama OnlinePlay scripts and writing about drama from Aeschylus to the present day. See instructions for proxying links for off-campus use.
- Other ebooksWe also have other individually purchased ebooks from Proquest Ebook Central and from Oxford University Press. Search the catalog for those titles.
