The Text Editor

Built in to Blackboard is a general text editing tool that helps you add text and images to your course. It automatically appears when you are creating a content item, creating instructions or descriptions for tests, assignments, or discussion board forums, and when creating email messages and announcements. The text editor looks like this:

You can type your text in the white space inside the box. If you hover the cursor over any of the buttons above that white space, a label explaining the function of that button will appear. The buttons can be used for things like making text bold or italic, changing font colors or adding highlighting, making bullet lists or numbered lists, adding links to websites, and inserting images.
