Adding new basic pages
- From the Shortcut menu in the top left corner of the screen, select "Add content," or from the Manage menu, hover over "Content" and then select "Add content." Select "Basic page."
- Newly-created basic pages start with a WYSIWYG component, which can be used to add text, images, and video.
- If you create a new page, please let Web Team know! We'll be able to place it correctly in the site architecture and give it a menu link if it needs one.
Editing existing pages
- From the Shortcut menu in the top left corner of the screen, select "All Content," or from the Manage menu, click on "Content." You will see a list of all pages and other content types on the website. Find the page you want to edit using the search boxes at the top of the list, and then click the "Edit" box on the far right side of the screen.
- When editing an existing page, you can make changes to any of the components already there, or add new components.
- Some components already on the page might be collapsed on the editing page; click the "Edit" button on a collapsed component to expand it.
- To add new components, find the dropdown menu near the bottom of the editing page that says "Add Accordion to components." Clicking on the menu will expand a list of all components that can be added to the page. (The accordion is just the first in the list of several component types.)
Previewing and saving a page
- At the bottom of the editing page, click the "Preview" box to get a preview of the web page with your changes added. Remember that this does not save the changes you've made!
- To save your changes, click the "Save" box. This will take you to the published version of the web page.
