The CPPCD “promotes and advocates consultative processes that foster effective planning for the pastoral life of the Church.” It offers resources on parish council development and human resource issues. It also hosts an annual national conference and participates in the Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership research.

The Leadership Network is an ecumenical “advance scout for the emerging church” and fosters conversation among innovative church leaders.

The National Association for Lay Ministry is a professional organization that supports, educates and advocates for lay ministers and promotes the development of lay ministry in the Catholic Church.

The NLRCM is an organization of laity and clergy working together to promote excellence in church management. The web site lists a number of resource books published by the organization, projects, lists of best practices, and also has an excellent “churchEpedia” on a variety of topics.

Researchers at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, have been conducting numerous studies on youth and religion across the U.S. This site provides a list of their reports and other related findings.

The Parish Evaluation Project is a consulting group led by Fr. Tom Sweetser, S.J., that has over 25 years of experience in guiding parish evaluation and development. An online newsletter of “best practices” from a network of parishes is available.
