Find a Local Research Topic

When you open Access World News (click the link above) you can scroll down to the Quick Links section. The blue buttons have presets for doing more specific searches. The "USA - Louisiana" button will search many newspapers in the state all at once.

Tip: if you find a news article that's interesting to you, take note of any experts (such as local University professors) that are interviewed and quoted in the story. Their research may have a local focus. You can then return to the library homepage, select "Author" from the drop-down menu, and do a search of their name to see if they've published scholarly works on the topic.
