The MLA International Bibliography, produced by the Modern Language Association of America, consists of citations related to literature, language, linguistics, and folklore in nearly 4,000 scholarly journals, books, book chapters, and other formats. Includes some non-English language material. 1926 to present.
In addition to providing full-text articles, these databases also provide detailed indexes and abstracts. Indexing is a service that provides a guide to the information contained within a resource. This can include subject terms, headings, and a description of the content and its main themes. Abstracts on the other hand, provide a brief summary of the resource.
Multidisciplinary databases are useful for searching for resources across different subject areas. Unlike Art & Architecture Complete or Communication & Mass Media, these databases contain articles in journals and magazines from a variety of academic disciplines.
